- Make sure a database server (SQL Server) is available to be used by Evolyx RADIUS.
- Download the latest version of Evolynx RADIUS Server from the web.
- Unzip the downloaded file in a directory on your hard disk.
- Double Click on "Evolynx RADIUS Server.msi".
- If a correct version of Windows installer or Microsoft .NET Framework is not available
on your computer, it can be downloaded from
here
- After running this installation program, the following screen appears:
- Click Next. Now you see the license agreement page as follows:
- As you can see, the Next button is disabled. You should select the "I Agree"
radio button to enable the Next button. Click on Next.
- This setup program can optionally create or update the required database structure
on a SQL server computer. If you want to do this, leave the check mark, if not,
clear this check mark and click next. If you select to install the database and
it already exists, the install program will update your databse, migrating your
data to the new database structure. It's strongly recommended that you back up your
data before installing a new version.
Please make sure you have enough access rights (database and login creation) on
your SQL server, otherwise Install Program will not be able to install the database.
The installation program can now use the "sa" account. In order to install the database,
you can login to your Windows with an ID which has Administrator privileges in your
SQL server, or use a SQL server administrator login. Please note that for successful
installation, your SQL server Authentication mode should be either "SQL Server Only"
or "SQL Server and Windows". To change this, use "Enterprise Manager" and look at
"Security" tab of the "Properties" window of your SQL server.

- Server name in above picture will be used only when installing the database. You
can specify a Computer name or IP address. If installing on a named instance (like
MSDE or SQL server express) specify the instance name after the server name, separated
by a back-slash (for example, localhost\sqlexpress). The default TCP port number
used to connect to SQL server is 1433. If your SQL server is using another port
number, that number should be entered in the "Port" text box. If your SQL server
is not setup to accept Windows logins, or your Windows login ID does not have admin
rights on the SQL server, you can enter a SQL server User ID and password in
the appropriate boxes. Then click next.
- By default, this software will be installed under "Program Files". You can
change the installation folder in this screen.
- After clicking Next on the confirmation page, the installation process begins, and
if the installation is successful, contentsof "ReadMe" file will be displayed.
