This is a small program that can produce a simulated load on RADIUS servers. It
can be run on any computer running Microsoft .net framework 1.1.
To measure maximum performance of a RADIUS server, we suggest:
- Run the test tool on a separate machine connected to your RADIUS server via a LAN
connection. Using more than 1 machine to run the test tool is prefered. (it's more
realistic)
- To get the exact numbers, make sure there is no other load on the server.
- Run the test tool in non stop mode, with at least 3 connections.
- Monitor the CPU usage of the RADIUS Server. If it's less than 90%, add more connections
on the test tool.
- Monitor the CPU usage of the machine running the test tool. If it's using more than
90% of the CPU power, run another test tool on a another machine.
- When CPU usage of the server is between 90% to 100%, the total number of requests/second
generated by all instances of test tool, shows maximum performance of your RADIUS
server.
